Who is the heck is Jules?

If you follow our page on Instagram (@luvfitjewelry), have visited our website before or purchased from us, you've probably seen the name "Jules" at least once. Unless you followed my personal "weight loss journey" back in the day, you may be wondering, who the heck is Jules?

The short of it? I'm the owner/creator of Luv Fit Jewelry. But like with anything, there's always more to the story. 

Back in 2012, I decided to share my personal "weight loss journey" on Instagram (originally has @weightlossjules, then @healthyhappyjules) in hopes that it would keep me motivated in reaching my goals. It did exactly that. 

Over the course of a year or so, I dropped about 50 lbs. I had been miserable and so uncomfortable in my own skin that I figured starting a healthy lifestyle would only be good for me. And it was. This was my transformation: 

Along with that transformation, I became very involved in the health / fitness world. I was super motivated by my own progress, but also the progress of others I followed on Instagram. I knew how it was sometimes to stay motivated, so I did what I can to share what motivated me along the way. 

In 2014, I decided to create a motivational jewelry line in hopes that it would help others stick to their own goals and make light of some of the obstacles that tend to come up (like pizza!). I started with pre-made designs I could find. Our first necklaces and key chains consisted of dumbbell and pizza charms (see below picture). We didn't even have a website. I just issued invoices to anyone who wanted one! 

From there, I created a website, figured out how to design my own charms and gradually started adding to our line. We now have over 50 charms, and growing (I can't help myself).

Fast forward about a year...

Around February 2015, I found out I was pregnant with my first (Emma). I was equally excited and scared out of my mind. I knew it was going to be a big change, but I didn't really know how much of one until she actually arrived. Turns out it was the best thing that ever happened to me. :)

To this day, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is very important to me. Getting to the gym has been more of a challenge since becoming a mother (and while being pregnant with my second), but it's a work in progress, like anything else in life. We all have our own challenges, myself included. The most important thing is that we never stop working towards our goals, no matter what that might be. My methods have changed a bit since becoming a mother, but being healthy, fit and happy is and always will be part of the plan.
