FAQ – Luv Fit

I didn't receive a confirmation email for my order. What should I do?

Usually, when this happens it's either one of two things: (1) The email address provided was incorrect or (2) the email went to your spam folder. Be sure to CONTACT US just in case!

What is your refund / exchange policy?

Refunds / exchanges are allowed within 30 days. To see our refund policy / instructions, go HERE.

How can I customize a necklace / key chain / bracelet?

You can create your own necklace, key chain or charm bracelet by starting on the CREATE YOUR OWN section of the site. From there, you can start by adding the type of item you want to create to your cart (i.e. - a necklace, key chain or bracelet). Then, go to the CHARMS section of the site and add the charms you want to your cart.

When you're ready to checkout, you'll see "add a note to your order" in pink. Click on this and include a note as to what you want attached to whichever item you wanted.

For example, if you wanted to order a key chain with a pizza charm, dumbbell and burrito, you would purchase the key ring itself, and then charms separately. In the note box, you could write something like, "attach all charms to my key chain"

If you're ordering multiple CREATE YOUR OWN bracelets/necklaces/key chains, you can number them in the note box. For example, "Key Chain #1 - Dumbbell, pizza, and #noexcuses..... Key Chain #2 - Weight Plate, hot dog, and Strong is Beautiful... Key Chain #3 - Large Barbell and burger".

Can I get the jewelry wet?

Our necklace chains, bracelets and key rings are stainless steel, so getting those wet are not a problem. Our pewter charms can also get wet without a problem. Zinc, resin or polymer clay charms , on the other hand, will last longer if they are kept dry.

What are your chains / charms made out of?

Our chains, key rings and charm bracelets are made out of stainless steel. We also occasionally carry sterling silver. All items are marked with what material they are made out of on the website.

The majority of our charms are made out of lead and nickel-free pewter manufactured in the USA. Some, however, are made out of zinc, acrylic or polymer clay. If you have sensitive skin, we suggest sticking to only the pewter charms. Pewter is one of the best options for those with skin allergies.

Do you ship internationally?

We ship to quite a few international locations, but there are some we do not currently ship directly to due to frequent issues with delivery. You'll find the list of countries we ship to at checkout. However, if you don't see your country on that list, we have had customers use a mail forwarding service such as that offered by www.shipito.com or www.shopandship.com

**Please note that customers are responsible for any and all duties and customs charges that may be incurred. Please contact your country's customs department for more information.**

How long will shipping take?

During non-holiday weeks, orders are typically shipped out within 2-3 business days (Monday-Friday). This does not include holidays, the weekend or any other days that the US Post Office is closed.

All US-bound purchases are shipped via First Class Mail, Priority or Overnight shipping, depending on what you choose. All three options provide tracking. The approximate time they may take will be shown next to each respective selection (For Example: "First Class Mail - 5-10 days" ).

International shipments (including Canada) are shipped via USPS First Class International (Economy), Priority or Priority Express, each of which will indicate the approximate time frame it could take to arrive (i.e. - "Economy International Shipping (1-5 weeks)"). For example, Economy International shipments can take 1-5 weeks depending on customs in your country, but Priority or Priority express have shorter time frames. On average, most of our customers receive their orders within 2 weeks with Economy shipping, but occasionally the time-frame can be longer.

Do your charms or chains tarnish?

All of our charms are marked as either pewter, zinc or sterling within the description of the item. Pewter charms will not tarnish. They may get dirty or lose a bit of their shine, but will not start to look coppery like zinc charms can over time.

Sterling can tarnish, but can be cleaned / polished.

All of our chains are stainless steel and will not tarnish. Sterling chains can tarnish, but can easily be cleaned. For your convenience, here's a VIDEO (not ours - just found it on YouTube!) on how to clean sterling jewelry.

What is pewter?

As you'll see on our site, most of our charms are made out of a material called pewter. Pewter is an alloy metal made primarily of tin with a small amount of copper. Unlike sterling, it does not tarnish. It is even considered to be a precious metal and gained its popularity in the Middle Ages. It is the fourth most used metal in jewelry. The pewter we use for our charms is made in the USA and is lead and nickel free. Note: We use "modern" pewter, not to be confused with antique pewter, which was once made with lead. Once again, our pewter charms are lead and nickel free. :)

How can I clean my pewter charms?

We offer charms / pendants that are made out of either zinc alloy metal, pewter or sterling. So, first things first, make sure the charm you want to clean is actually pewter. If you are unsure, send a photo of it to contact@lovefitnessjewelry.com and we'll help you figure it out.

Mix 1/2 cup of baking soda with 1 cup of boiled water. Place charms in mixture. If you need to scrub the charms, gently use the SOFT side of the sponge. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly. If done this way, antiquing should not come off.

I'm allergic to most metals - Will your charms cause a reaction?

Our pewter charms and stainless steel bracelets and chains should not cause a reaction. In fact, both are considered great options for those with metal allergies.

Zinc charms, however, could cause a reaction for those with sensitive skin. Of course, this can vary from person to person, as every body is different.
